Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nurse Summary- Provide individualized nursing care and supervision for a student during the Extended School Year (ESY) program
- Ensure the safety, health, and participation of the student in all aspects of the school day
- Participate as a valued member of the school healthcare and educational team
- Potential for continued employment into the subsequent academic year based on fit and need
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a student with autism, providing daily oversight and support
- Monitor and respond appropriately to gluten allergies and seizure activity, even if infrequent
- Support the student’s safety and engagement in classroom and school activities
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and student health status
- Adhere to school policies, nursing protocols, and regulatory requirements
