As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering direct nursing services in accordance with medical protocols, Department of Health guidelines, and school district policies. The role involves accompanying the student on the bus from Monroe Township to Wilkes-Barre and back each day, with transportation time included as paid working hours. This unique 1:1 nursing position requires commitment, empathy, and exceptional clinical skills to provide quality care and support to the student. The ideal candidate for this position will be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who is either already licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain licensure. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide individualized 1:1 nursing services for a student with multiple disabilities throughout the school day.
- Administer first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
- Dispense prescribed medications and monitor the student’s medical needs.
- Train school personnel on First Aid, CPR, and AED usage to enhance preparedness and safety on campus.
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper health records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Refer students to appropriate medical care or external resources when necessary.
- Implement Department of Health policies and protocols effectively within the school setting.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and parents regarding health-related matters.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required by the district.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and valid Pennsylvania LPN license or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
