Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nurse Summary- Temporary summer position with potential for full-time continuation in the upcoming school year
- Focused on 1:1 nursing care for a medically-fragile student
- Involvement in both direct care and health education for students and staff
- Integral member of the school health team
- Deliver 1:1 nursing services to a medically-fragile student during the school day, including on school transportation
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as required
- Train school personnel on first aid, CPR, and AED usage, enhancing school safety preparedness
- Administer and document student medications in accordance with healthcare protocols
- Maintain accurate and confidential electronic and paper health records
- Refer students in need of further medical evaluation or care to appropriate healthcare professionals
- Implement Department of Health (DoH) policies and protocols consistently
- Communicate effectively with parents, educators, and administrators regarding student health needs
