Transportation time is fully compensated, and your day will begin with the student’s pickup at approximately 7:15 AM. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School Nurse 1:1 Summary- Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position supporting a single student with multiple disabilities
- Role includes daily transportation with the student to and from school (Dallas to Pittston and back), with all travel time compensated
- Position is for the current school year, with strong potential for renewal
- Work within a collaborative school environment in Dallas, PA
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care and medical support to a student with multiple disabilities during the entire school day
- Accompany the student on the school bus or van to and from school daily, ensuring continuity of care during transportation
- Monitor and assess the student’s health status, responding promptly to any medical needs or emergencies
- Administer medications and provide routine medical interventions as prescribed
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of all nursing actions and updates to student health records
- Adhere to school district and Department of Health policies and protocols
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff to promote the student’s health, safety, and participation in educational activities
