The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School 1:1 Nurse will accompany the student on the bus ride each day, providing medical oversight from home pickup to school and back. Transportation time is fully compensated, allowing you to focus on the student's needs without compromise. The typical schedule runs Monday through Friday, aligning with standard school hours, which provides consistency and a healthy work-life balance. Immediate start is available, and there is the potential for this role to extend into the next academic year for the right candidate.
This position requires expertise in pediatric care, particularly in supporting students with seizure disorders, G-tube care, cerebral palsy, incontinence, non-verbal communication, and complex diagnoses such as d-bifunctional disease. The ability to perform manual wheelchair transfers, often as part of a two-person assist, is also required. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School 1:1 Nurse will work collaboratively with educators and other school staff to foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment for the student.
Applicants must hold an active Pennsylvania LPN license and be able to obtain or maintain all required clearances for school nursing. Experience with pediatric or medically complex individuals is highly preferred, and comfort with hands-on, mobility, and personal care is essential. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – School 1:1 Nurse Summary- Full-time nursing position providing 1:1 care for a medically complex student in a school setting
