Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile student during the entire school day
- Manage and monitor tracheostomy care, ensuring all procedures are performed safely and in accordance with medical guidelines
- Assist with ventilator support as needed, responding swiftly to any adjustments or emergencies
- Regularly monitor the student’s medical status, recognizing and addressing any changes or health concerns promptly
- Follow physician’s orders, individualized care plans, and established school health protocols
- Document all care provided and maintain clear, professional communication with school personnel and the student’s family
- Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for the student
- Accompany the student on school transportation to and from school, providing medical supervision during transit
- Promote the student’s participation in school activities to the fullest extent possible

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Georgia
- Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care is required
- Experience with ventilator support is strongly preferred
- Previous pediatric or school nursing experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
