We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our primary care team on a full-time basis. In this clinical role, you will play a vital part in supporting providers and delivering quality patient care. The LPN / MA will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative duties to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within our healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Triage patients efficiently to assess their needs and relay critical information to providers.
- Perform venipuncture and collect vital signs, meticulously documenting all data in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as needed.
- Communicate with patients by phone, providing information, answering questions, and managing follow-up interactions with professionalism and courtesy.
- Conduct medication reconciliation to ensure patient safety and accuracy of medication records.
- Answer incoming calls, take accurate messages, and facilitate effective communication between patients and the clinical team.
- Collaborate with other staff members to promote a supportive and efficient team environment, ensuring high-quality patient care at all times.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Medical Assistant (MA) certification required, as applicable to the position.
- Previous experience in a primary care or urgent care setting is highly preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities, able to work independently while handling multiple responsibilities.
- Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) are required; experience with Athena EMR is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing duties or workflow as needed to support patient care and clinic operations.
