Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Summary- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Support the mission of providing healthcare services to veterans, service members, and their families.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Demonstrate professionalism, clinical competence, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Apply knowledge of a wide range of medical disorders, diagnostic studies, and treatments related to the prevention and detection of illness in adults.
- Utilize the nursing process for patient assessment, preparation for treatments and procedures, and follow-up care.
- Perform and assist with clinic-specific procedures in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Supervise and direct paraprofessional staff involved in patient care and treatment.
- Set up, operate, and monitor specialized medical equipment including IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, and nebulizers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer operations, including basic word processing, data entry, and use of automated medical records systems.
- Exhibit professionalism in interactions with team members, timely documentation, and responsiveness to feedback.

- Diploma from an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) approved LPN or LVN program.
- Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) prior to starting work at the medical facility.
- Experience in acute care hospital or inpatient rehabilitation facility or center.
- Demonstrates a solid foundation in professional nursing theories, principles, and practices.
- Possesses strong clinical assessment and patient care skills, especially with adult and geriatric populations.
