Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Summary- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
- Engage in continuous professional development and participate in a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and their families.
- Assess, prepare, and assist patients for treatments and medical procedures, including surgical interventions.
- Utilize the nursing process for patient care, including performing timely and accurate assessments.
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, and nebulizers.
- Supervise paraprofessional staff involved in patient care and treatment.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Demonstrate professionalism in conduct, teamwork, and communication with all staff and patients.
- Adhere to all established policies, procedures, and Joint Commission (JC) guidelines.
- Perform and assist with clinic-specific procedures as required by the facility.
- Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations, ensuring patient safety at all times.

- Diploma from an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) approved Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse program.
- Valid, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse prior to the start date.
- Experience in an acute care hospital, inpatient rehabilitation facility, or similar setting required.
- Proficient in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated medical record systems.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely assist with patient transfers, perform repetitive clinical tasks, and respond quickly in emergencies.
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a passion for serving veterans and service members.
