Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Summary
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in accordance with clinical standards and protocols.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments, prepare for treatments and procedures, and assist healthcare providers as needed.
- Utilize nursing process as a foundation for professional practice, ensuring accurate documentation and patient preparation.
- Perform or assist with clinic-specific procedures in accordance with established policies and guidelines.
- Supervise paraprofessionals involved in patient care and treatment.
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment, including IV pumps, cardiac monitors, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, and nebulizers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of a wide range of medical conditions, diagnostic studies, and treatments relevant to adult and geriatric care.
- Utilize computer systems for word processing, data entry, and managing automated medical records.
- Exhibit professionalism in all interactions, including teamwork, communication, and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.
- Current, active LPN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
- At least one (1) year of practical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Experience in an Acute Care hospital or Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.
- Proficiency in computer operations and documentation within electronic medical records.
- Ability to safely lift and move patients as needed, with or without assistance or mechanical devices.
- U.S. citizenship.
