Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Summary
- Provide essential nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a clinical setting.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in performing nursing assignments of moderate difficulty, including patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of treatment interventions.
- Apply professional care theories, principles, and practices to support the prevention, detection, and management of various medical conditions.
- Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, including surgical interventions, ensuring safety and adherence to established guidelines.
- Perform and assist with clinic-specific procedures in accordance with policy and Joint Commission (JC) standards.
- Monitor and operate specialized medical equipment such as IV infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, and nebulizers.
- Supervise paraprofessionals involved in the care and treatment of patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in automated medical records and data systems.
- Uphold professionalism in all interactions, demonstrate openness to feedback, and actively participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from an accredited National League of Nursing (NLN) approved program.
- Current, valid, and unrestricted LPN license from at least one U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least one year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse prior to the start of work, with a focus on acute care hospital or inpatient rehabilitation facility settings.
- Proficiency in computer operations, including word processing, data entry, and use of automated medical records systems.
