Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative Position Overview
The Licensed Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in supporting an independent State Farm agent's office on a full-time basis in Parma, OH. This position is designed for professionals who are licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance and have prior experience in the insurance industry, particularly with State Farm or similar organizations. As a Licensed Insurance CSR, you will deliver exceptional customer service and foster strong relationships with clients, assisting them with their insurance needs and supporting the agency's operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships through proactive communication and follow-up on insurance matters.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly service to clients, addressing inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing details.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about available insurance products and services.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a commitment to achieving daily and long-term agency objectives.
- Generate timely and thorough activity reports for the agent to ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Stay updated on changes in insurance products, licensing requirements, technical advancements, and continuing education to maintain compliance and provide accurate information to clients.
Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty insurance license (required).
- Active Life and Health insurance license (required).
- Prior experience with State Farm or a similar insurance provider is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, ECRM, or Necho platforms is beneficial.
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive in problem solving, and dedicated to delivering superior customer service.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new computer systems and processes efficiently.
