Licensed Insurance Agent Job Overview
As a Licensed Insurance Agent with our award-winning agency, you will play a critical role in helping clients identify the insurance products and services that best meet their needs. Responsibilities
- Generate and develop leads through networking, referrals, and outreach initiatives to expand the agency’s client base in your area.
- Schedule and conduct appointments with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs and recommend appropriate products, including property and casualty, life, and health insurance options.
- Market insurance products and services by explaining coverage options and benefits tailored to individual client requirements.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and proactive follow-up, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service by responding to inquiries regarding product availability, eligibility, policy changes, claims, transfers, and billing matters.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and policy information in compliance with agency and industry standards.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the agency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in insurance sales, either as a licensed agent or in a related sales capacity, is preferred.
- Valid Property & Casualty insurance license, or the ability to obtain one promptly upon hire.
- Valid Life & Health insurance license, or the ability to obtain one as required.
- Successful track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and performance quotas is desirable.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills are essential to effectively relate to and serve clients.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting, managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
