The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plays a crucial role in supporting the behavioral health and well-being of individuals and families, with a focus on child and family services. This full-time position is based at a U.S. military treatment facility, where the LCSW delivers comprehensive mental health and social work services to a diverse population, including military personnel and their dependents.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will be responsible for providing a broad spectrum of mental health and counseling services. This includes working with adolescents, supporting special needs populations, and facilitating integrated behavioral health consultations. The LCSW will also serve as a Behavioral Health Care Facilitator, supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges, traumatic brain injuries, and related conditions.
This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to holistic patient care. The organization provides assistance with relocation and visa processes for qualified U.S.-licensed candidates, making this an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to expand their clinical experience in an international setting. Working in this region offers the chance to engage with a vibrant community and contribute to the health and resilience of service members and their families.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and possess an active, unrestricted LCSW license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required prior to starting. Experience in clinical social work, either through a master's practicum or at least two years of recent post-MSW clinical experience, is essential for success in this role.
The LCSW independently assesses patients' psychosocial functioning, formulates and implements treatment plans, and provides evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). The LCSW conducts psychosocial assessments, delivers counseling and psychotherapy to individuals, groups, children, couples, and families, and coordinates referrals to community and government agencies as needed. The LCSW must also participate in peer review, case conferences, and professional development activities to ensure high standards of care.
This Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) position requires completion of a Child Care National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI). The LCSW is expected to practice within the scope of their license and the privileges granted by the military treatment facility, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to address the comprehensive needs of patients. The LCSW also provides consultation services to other healthcare professionals, advising on psychosocial factors that impact patient care and treatment compliance.
