Leasing Consultant - Summary
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents, providing tours and information about available units and community amenities.
- Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including application assistance, lease paperwork, and move-in coordination.
- Contribute to achieving occupancy goals and maintaining high resident satisfaction.
- Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome prospective residents, conduct property tours, and showcase available floor plans and amenities.
- Promptly respond to inquiries received via phone, email, and online platforms in a professional manner.
- Qualify prospects by explaining lease terms, fees, and application requirements, assisting throughout the application and approval process.
- Prepare, review, and execute lease agreements, renewals, and move-in documentation with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
- Stay informed about current unit availability, pricing, incentives, and community promotions to effectively communicate with prospects.
- Follow up with leads to convert prospects into residents, track interactions using property management software such as Yardi or RealPage.
- Coordinate closely with maintenance and management teams to ensure units are move-in ready and promptly resolve resident concerns.
- Handle resident relations with courtesy and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary for resolution.
- Meet or exceed weekly and monthly leasing and occupancy targets, providing regular activity reports to management.
- Participate in community events, open houses, and marketing initiatives, including managing online listings and engaging with social media platforms.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Professional appearance and a strong customer-service orientation.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in daily work responsibilities.
- Proficiency with computers, property management software (such as Yardi or RealPage), and Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfort with basic math for explaining lease terms and fees.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional off-site showings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework or real estate licensing is a plus.
