Join our team as a Leasing Consultant and play a key role in delivering exceptional service and support to residents and prospective tenants at apartment communities. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be the primary point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process, showcasing available units, and supporting resident relations to ensure a positive living experience. This full-time position offers opportunities to engage with clients, collaborate with property management teams, and contribute to the success of the community. If you are passionate about customer service, detail-oriented, and eager to make a difference, this role is for you.
Working as a Leasing Consultant, you will greet prospective residents, conduct property tours, and showcase amenities and floor plans. Your responsibilities will include responding to inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms with professionalism and efficiency. You will guide applicants through the qualification process, explain lease terms and application requirements, and assist with lease approvals and documentation. Timely preparation and execution of lease paperwork, renewals, and move-in documentation are integral to this role, ensuring accuracy and compliance at all times.
Staying informed about unit availability, pricing, incentives, and community promotions is crucial. You will follow up with prospects to convert leads into residents, leveraging your communication and interpersonal skills to achieve occupancy goals. The use of property management software such as Yardi or RealPage is essential for tracking leads, managing resident information, and reporting leasing activity to management. Collaboration with maintenance and management teams ensures that units are ready for move-in and that resident concerns are addressed promptly.
As a Leasing Consultant, you will address resident relations issues with courtesy and escalate maintenance or policy concerns as needed. Meeting or exceeding weekly and monthly leasing targets is a key performance metric. You will also participate in community events, marketing initiatives, and open houses to enhance the visibility of the property and attract new residents. Your professionalism, customer-service orientation, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team will drive your success in this dynamic environment.
Qualifications to excel in the Leasing Consultant role include previous experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required, as well as a professional appearance and approach. The ability to work independently, maintain reliability, and demonstrate punctuality are essential attributes. Comfort with basic math, proficiency with property management and CRM software (preferably Yardi), and Microsoft Office skills are required. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent; additional college coursework or real estate licensing is a plus. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are also necessary for occasional off-site showings.
Our core values of honesty, integrity, competence, enthusiasm, professionalism, reliability, and attendance are the foundation of our workplace culture. As a company committed to maintaining a drug-free environment and providing equal employment opportunities, we welcome applications from candidates who share our values and commitment to excellence.
