We are currently seeking an experienced Leasing Consultant to join our team and play a vital role in supporting leasing operations, property tours, and resident relations at apartment communities. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience from the initial inquiry through the leasing process.
In this Leasing Consultant position, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting prospective residents, conducting engaging property tours, and showcasing available amenities and floor plans. Your professionalism and customer-focused approach will help potential residents feel confident in choosing our community as their new home. The Leasing Consultant will handle inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, responding promptly and professionally to all requests for information.
As part of your daily duties, you will qualify prospects, explain lease terms and fees, and guide applicants through the process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of lease paperwork and move-in documentation. You will also be responsible for maintaining current knowledge of unit availability, pricing, incentives, and community promotions, allowing you to provide accurate and up-to-date information to all prospects and residents.
The Leasing Consultant will follow up with prospective residents to convert leads and help meet occupancy goals. You will use property management software such as Yardi or RealPage to track leads and report on leasing activity. Coordination with maintenance and management teams is essential to ensure units are move-in ready and that resident concerns are resolved efficiently and courteously. In addition, you will participate in community events, marketing initiatives such as online listings, social media campaigns, and open houses to enhance visibility and draw in new prospects.
Applicants for the Leasing Consultant role should have a minimum of one year of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, along with a polished, professional appearance and a commitment to excellent customer service. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is crucial for success. Proficiency with computers, CRM or property management software, and Microsoft Office is required. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for off-site showings are also necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while college coursework or real estate licensing is a plus.
