Leasing Consultant - Summary
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective residents and existing tenants.
- Manage the full lifecycle of the leasing process, including property tours, application support, and move-in coordination.
- Promote and represent the apartment community’s features, amenities, and values to prospective residents.
- Collaborate with management and maintenance teams to achieve leasing and occupancy goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and highlight property amenities and floor plans.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all phone, email, and online inquiries regarding apartment availability and leasing procedures.
- Qualify prospects by explaining lease terms, application requirements, and associated fees, assisting throughout the application and approval process.
- Accurately prepare, review, and execute leasing paperwork, renewals, and move-in documentation.
- Maintain current knowledge of unit availability, pricing, incentives, and ongoing community promotions.
- Follow up diligently with prospects, convert leads, and help achieve occupancy targets; record all activity in property management software such as Yardi or RealPage.
- Coordinate with maintenance and management to ensure timely readiness of units for move-in and address resident concerns efficiently.
- Resolve resident relations issues courteously, escalating maintenance or policy concerns as necessary.
- Participate in community events, marketing campaigns, and open houses to attract and retain residents.
- Consistently meet or exceed leasing and occupancy targets, reporting results to management as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated professional appearance and strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team; punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Comfortable with basic math and proficient in explaining lease details, terms, and fees to prospects.
- Proficiency with computers, including property management or CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for off-site property tours as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or real estate licensing is a plus.
