Leasing Consultant - Summary
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospective residents, providing tours and detailed information about apartments and amenities.
- Support the leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in, ensuring all steps are handled efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of apartment availability, pricing, and promotional offers within the community.
- Foster positive relationships with residents and support ongoing resident satisfaction initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet and engage prospective residents, conduct property tours, and effectively highlight community features and floor plans.
- Promptly respond to phone, email, and online inquiries, ensuring all communication is professional and customer-focused.
- Qualify potential residents, explain lease terms, application requirements, and associated fees, and assist with the application and approval process.
- Prepare and execute all lease paperwork, renewals, and move-in documentation with attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain current knowledge of unit availability, pricing structures, and community incentives to effectively market available apartments.
- Follow up with prospects to convert leads and achieve occupancy goals, tracking all activity in property management software such as Yardi or RealPage.
- Coordinate with maintenance and management teams to ensure apartments are ready for move-in and address resident concerns or maintenance issues as needed.
- Handle resident relations professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Meet or exceed established leasing and occupancy targets, providing regular activity reports to property management.
- Participate in community events, marketing efforts (including online listings and social media), and open houses to promote the community and attract new residents.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of one year of experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and polished demeanor.

- Reliable and punctual with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable with basic math and explaining lease terms and fees to prospective residents.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college coursework or real estate licensing is advantageous.
