Lease Administrator - Summary
- Serve as a key contributor to the commercial real estate team, focusing on lease administration rather than property management.
- Support the accurate interpretation, abstraction, and ongoing management of real estate leases and contracts across a diverse portfolio, including healthcare and office facilities.
- Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and other internal teams to ensure all lease data is kept current and compliant with industry standards.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices for departmental growth and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Interpret and abstract lease agreements and related documents for a variety of commercial properties.
- Review and audit lease documents to ensure correct tracking of rent, Common Area Maintenance (CAM), and Triple Net (NNN) charges.
- Calculate rent escalations, review lease options, and verify insurance provisions in alignment with agreements.
- Maintain and update lease databases, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and easily accessible.
- Coordinate with finance and legal departments to resolve discrepancies and maintain compliance with all contractual obligations.
- Mentor and train team members, supporting ongoing learning and process improvements within the department.
- Participate in the enhancement and streamlining of lease administration systems and workflows.
- Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates and responding to lease-related inquiries.

- Extensive experience in commercial lease administration, with a demonstrated focus on healthcare, corporate, or office leases.
- Proficiency in interpreting complex lease language and performing CAM/NNN audits.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to calculate rent increases and interpret lease options and insurance provisions accurately.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
