We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Low Voltage Technician to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide a team of low voltage technicians on assigned projects, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards.
- Install, configure, and maintain various low voltage systems, including but not limited to security systems, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and structured cabling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with low voltage equipment and infrastructure efficiently and effectively.
- Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to low voltage systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with safety codes, regulations, and company protocols.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system configurations.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Assist with project planning, estimating materials, and scheduling work to ensure timely completion.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in low voltage system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, preferably in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to low voltage technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Certifications
- Relevant low voltage certifications are highly desirable. Examples may include BICSI Technician, NICET certification, or manufacturer-specific credentials.
