The Laundry Production Manager plays an essential role in overseeing the daily operations within an industrial laundry facility, specifically focused on the processing and delivery of healthcare linens. This critical position ensures the consistent high quality of linen products, effective team management, and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. As the Laundry Production Manager, you will collaborate closely with multiple departments, including operations, engineering, and office management, to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe work environment. Working as a Laundry Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the development and training of staff to ensure efficient production of high-quality linen products. In this position, you will assist the Operations Manager with financial controls, focusing on cost-effectiveness and the overall operational health of the laundry plant. The Laundry Production Manager also acts as a vital link between the engineering team and plant operations, ensuring all production equipment is maintained and safely operated. Additionally, you will be involved in human resource activities by coordinating with the Office Manager to manage training, regulatory compliance, staffing, payroll, and benefits administration for all employees.

Regulatory compliance is a major component of the Laundry Production Manager role. You will oversee all safety measures and participate actively in the plant safety committee, ensuring compliance with agencies such as HLAC, OSHA, and JACHAO. The Laundry Production Manager documents and participates in laundry surveys for prospective clients and assists in performance appraisals and corrective actions for staff. Forecasting for capital expenditures, managing installation and operation of new equipment, and collaborating with the Chief Engineer are also part of the responsibilities assigned to this role. You will also play a key part in talent development, creating action plans and personal development plans for supervisors, and establishing a robust succession plan to support future organizational growth.

Preferred qualifications for this position include a bachelor’s degree in management or equivalent practical experience, along with at least one to three years of operations or management experience in a large-scale or commercial laundry facility. Proficiency in communication—both written and verbal—and the ability to manage multiple priorities are crucial. Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required, and Spanish language skills are considered a valuable asset.
