Laundry Operations Manager - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct daily laundry facility operations, ensuring efficiency in linen processing and delivery.
- Lead and develop staff through ongoing training and performance management to produce high-quality results.
- Manage fiscal aspects of the operation, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting expenses.
- Handle all human resource functions: training, regulatory compliance, staffing, payroll, and benefit administration.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing reports, feedback, and maintaining strong customer relations.
- Develop and implement accurate billing practices for services rendered.
- Prepare weekly reports covering operations, key performance indicators, payroll, and HR functions.
- Interpret and analyze P&L statements for operational improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies, including OSHA and state/local requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and committees, including Linen Review and Operations Committees.
- Monitor vendor contracts and oversee daily payroll and labor costs.
- Facilitate preventative maintenance for laundry and engineering equipment as necessary.
- Create action and development plans to support associate growth and advancement.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of combined operations and/or management experience, preferably in laundry operations or a commercial setting.
- BS/BA in Business Management or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production methods, scheduling, and efficiency monitoring.
- Familiarity with laundry equipment and basic washroom chemistry, or willingness to learn.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities, and maintaining organization in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility, leadership, and a sense of urgency.
- Thorough understanding of contract administration and office procedures.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and meet established goals.
- Proficient in Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical ability to traverse worksite, lift up to 15 pounds, and work in a laundry environment.
- Must be able to respond to operational emergencies as needed.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
