The Laundry Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the performance of commercial laundry equipment within our facilities. Laundry Equipment Technician - Summary- Responsible for performing preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance on commercial laundry machinery within the plant.
- Ensures all equipment assigned is functioning efficiently during production operations.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, and corrects equipment issues, such as jams, belt malfunctions, or missing components.
- Collaborates with engineering and technical personnel to resolve complex problems and maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
- Conducts preventive maintenance activities on commercial laundry equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Completes maintenance and repair tasks promptly and with attention to quality and safety.
- Assists technical and mechanical personnel, including outside vendors, as needed to ensure comprehensive equipment care.
- Documents all maintenance work, incomplete tasks, and newly identified problems in the maintenance log.
- Communicates equipment status updates to Production Supervisors, particularly regarding issues that impact production or cause downtime, and notifies when equipment returns to service.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by supervisory or engineering staff.

- Proficient in safe operation of tools and equipment, with a thorough understanding of safety protocols, including lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working with hot machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment for self and colleagues.
- Solid working knowledge of mechanical systems, including the ability to repair and maintain mechanical drive systems and diagnose mechanical issues.
- Capable of ordering parts from vendors and managing parts inventory efficiently.
- Technically skilled with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial laundry or industrial setting.
- Exhibits attention to detail, prioritizes safety, and consistently delivers high-quality work.
- Demonstrates adaptability in a fast-paced environment, responding effectively to emergent issues and shifting priorities.
- Possesses a strong sense of responsibility and integrity in all aspects of work.
