Laundry Equipment Technician - Summary
- Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on all laundry equipment within the facility.
- Works closely with production supervisors and engineering personnel to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Keeps detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on commercial laundry machinery.
- Performs diagnostic assessments and repairs to resolve mechanical issues, such as jams, worn belts, or missing parts.
- Collaborates with engineering teams and seeks technical guidance when necessary.
- Assists other technical and mechanical personnel, including external vendors, with complex repairs or upgrades.
- Maintains a comprehensive maintenance log, documenting incomplete tasks and newly identified problems.
- Communicates equipment status updates to production supervisors, especially if issues could impact workflow or production schedules.
- Ensures adherence to all safety protocols, including lockout/tag out and confined space entry procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times.
- Orders replacement parts from vendors and manages parts inventory to support timely repairs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support the maintenance team and production operations.
