Laundry Attendant - Summary- Responsible for sorting, cleaning, and finishing resort linens and textiles.
- Operates all laundry machinery according to established standards and safety protocols.
- Conducts regular linen inventories and maintains accurate records.
- Reports to Laundry Supervisor or General Manager of Laundry.
- Sort soiled linens, towels, and tablecloths for processing based on type and degree of soiling.
- Operate washers, dryers, and finishing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Monitor washing cycles, adding appropriate chemicals and ensuring proper load balancing.
- Inspect finished linens for cleanliness, stains, or damage and report any issues to management.
- Fold and store cleaned linens in designated areas for easy retrieval by housekeeping and food and beverage departments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry facility.
- Assist with periodic linen inventories to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Comply with all safety regulations and use protective equipment as required.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily and weekly laundry processing goals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or General Manager.
