As a Kitchen Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure exceptional food quality and guest experience. Responsibilities
- Deliver uncompromised excellence in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen operations at all times.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all kitchen and dining room systems, ensuring seamless collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
- Lead, coach, and train assistant managers and team members on food quality, service standards, safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures.
- Implement and monitor all operational systems, standards, and cost controls to maintain efficiency and profitability.
- Establish clear and measurable goals, regularly communicating progress with the General Manager and Local Owner.
- Foster effective communication with guests, team members, management, local owners, and vendors, ensuring a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of both exterior and interior facilities, ensuring all areas meet safety and sanitation standards.
- Monitor and maintain sufficient supply levels to support efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
- Oversee back-of-house scheduling, ensuring optimal staffing levels and adherence to labor goals while maintaining high guest satisfaction.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting for kitchen operations to achieve financial targets.
- Participate in the interview and hiring process for all departments to ensure the team is staffed with skilled and motivated individuals.
- Supervise assistant managers and team members to guarantee consistent adherence to food and service standards and ensure a positive guest experience.
- Enforce safety procedures and proper equipment operation to maintain a safe working environment.
- Effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume setting while maintaining composure and sound judgment under pressure.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of culinary management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant setting.
- Proven leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Demonstrated ability to attract, train, and develop exceptional team members within the industry.
- Strong focus on delivering outstanding guest service, with a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for every guest.
- Ability to define, measure, and achieve financial objectives for the restaurant, including year-over-year sales growth, increased guest counts, optimal staffing levels, guest satisfaction metrics, cost of goods sold (COGs), and labor cost management.
