We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our casual steakhouse team in Atlanta. As a Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations to ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Kitchen Operations: Supervise food preparation, cooking, plating, and kitchen cleanliness to guarantee each dish meets established standards. Ensure timely service, consistent portion sizes, and adherence to recipes.
- Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate a team of chefs, cooks, and prep staff. Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, skill-building, and professional development.
- Food Quality and Safety: Maintain rigorous standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation. Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation protocols, conduct regular inspections, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor food inventory, minimize waste, and manage portion control. Collaborate with restaurant management to develop budgets, track costs, and improve kitchen efficiency.
- Staff Training and Development: Provide ongoing training in culinary techniques, recipe adherence, and plating standards. Encourage continuous learning and support the professional growth of kitchen staff.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure the kitchen meets all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Accurately maintain records and documentation in accordance with local and federal requirements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Culinary Manager in a scratch kitchen restaurant.
- Proven culinary skills and a strong understanding of kitchen operations and workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation laws and best practices.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Skilled in inventory management and implementing cost control measures.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
