Janitor - SummaryAs a Janitor, you will be responsible for a variety of heavy cleaning duties, including but not limited to cleaning floors, shampooing carpets, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The Janitor position requires attention to detail, diligence in following cleaning protocols, and a proactive approach to maintaining the facility. The role involves working with cleaning equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring all tasks align with infection control and safety guidelines. Duties & Responsibilities- Collect and dispose of trash in compliance with approved procedures and infection control plans.
- Dust and damp mop floors according to established cleaning guidelines.
- Move equipment and furniture as needed to facilitate proper cleaning; return items to their correct placement upon completion.
- Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, ensuring thorough sanitation of all surfaces.
- Follow the standardized eight-step cleaning procedure for optimal results.
- Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other fixtures to maintain a clean, safe environment for all facility users.
- Proactively seek out areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete necessary tasks.
- Complete all cleaning assignments as delegated by the supervisor in a timely and efficient manner.
- Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets as needed to maintain flooring quality and appearance.
- Perform cleaning duties in accordance with all federal, state, and county regulations and guidelines.
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork when interacting with customers, coworkers, and other individuals on-site.
- Perform additional cleaning-related duties as assigned by management.
- Competitive hourly wage beginning at $19.00 per hour.
