IT Systems Engineer (MSP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Engage in pre-sales activities such as discovery meetings, site visits, and technical presentations to understand and define client requirements.
- Develop and implement solutions involving Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Exchange, ensuring reliable and secure system performance.
- Design and manage Local Area Networks (LAN), including optimizing and maintaining both network hardware and software components.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols and best practices to protect client data and systems.
- Build and deploy file servers, cloud computing solutions, and support seamless integration with client business operations.
- Configure and manage VOIP and telephone solutions to enhance business communications.
- Monitor alert systems, analyze event logs, and perform troubleshooting to resolve complex network infrastructure issues efficiently.
- Manage escalated service requests requiring advanced technical response and problem-solving skills.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, including system setup and access management, to ensure a smooth transition for clients.
- Utilize RMM (remote monitoring and management) tools such as Kaseya or Connectwise, and PSA (professional services automation) ticketing systems like Autotask or Connectwise for efficient service delivery.
- Prepare technical proposals and documentation for solution implementation, supporting both project management and client communication.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory in an MSP environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering or technical consulting.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage with clients to understand and address their business and technology needs.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals and implementing solutions to address business requirements.
- Expertise in utilizing RMM and PSA tools for efficient service delivery and issue tracking.
- Ability to resolve complex technical issues, deliver high-level customer service, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Results-oriented, reliable, energetic, and a collaborative team player.
- Solid understanding of technology and business productivity systems relevant to small and medium-sized business clients.
