IT Support Specialist (MSP) - Summary
- Provide technical support and solutions for clients in a managed services provider (MSP) environment.
- Utilize advanced troubleshooting skills to resolve escalated service requests and critical technical issues.
- Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver end-to-end IT services, including pre- and post-sales support.
- Support client business objectives by deploying, managing, and optimizing technology solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in conjunction with sales teams to deliver pre- and post-sales technical support, including discovery meetings, site assessments, proposals, presentations, technical evaluations, solution implementation, and ongoing account management.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Design and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) tailored to client requirements.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to safeguard data and network integrity.
- Optimize and sustain network software and hardware infrastructure for continuous availability.
- Build and deploy file servers and deliver cloud computing solutions, adapting to evolving business needs.
- Configure and deploy VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) systems for seamless communication.
- Perform network infrastructure troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
- Administer Microsoft Exchange Server environments to support business communications.
- Support telephone solutions and ensure reliable connectivity.
- Monitor alert systems and take appropriate action according to established guidelines.
- Interpret event logs to facilitate effective repairs and maintenance.
- Address escalated service requests requiring advanced technical response and resolution.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, ensuring a smooth setup process for new team members.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange servers, and Active Directory.
- 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering or technical account management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients at a business level to assess technology needs and resolve issues.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience writing technical proposals and implementing IT solutions tailored to business objectives.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, and a strong team player.
- Comprehensive understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Experience using RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools is a plus.
- High-level problem-solving skills, exemplary customer service, and the ability to multitask effectively.
