Our client, a prominent IT solutions provider, is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist (Level II) – MSP for a full-time opportunity in Harrison, NY. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt, courteous, and effective technical support to end users via the service desk through telephone, web portal, or email channels.
- Onboard new hires by provisioning workstations, configuring systems, and ensuring proper access to required resources.
- Prioritize and manage incidents and service requests in alignment with defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using remote diagnostics and support tools.
- Administer server environments, including Active Directory, file and print services, DNS, and DHCP.
- Install and manage antivirus solutions, ensuring virus definitions are current and systems are protected.
- Maintain and configure network firewalls, switches, and related hardware to ensure network integrity and security.
- Optimize and maintain both network software and hardware for maximum performance and reliability.
- Build, deploy, and manage file servers and cloud-based computing solutions to enhance business productivity.
- Configure, deploy, and support Voice over IP (VOIP) solutions for seamless business communications.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server and support telephone solutions to ensure smooth organizational communication.
- Monitor alert systems, respond to incidents, and take action according to established guidelines.
- Analyze event logs and error messages to identify issues and implement effective repairs.
- Handle escalated service requests that require advanced troubleshooting and technical expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a managed service provider (MSP) environment is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers, workstations, Exchange servers, and Active Directory.
- 2-3 years of experience in a client-facing technical role, such as sales engineering.
- Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools such as Kaseya and professional services automation (PSA) platforms like Autotask is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients to understand and resolve business and technical challenges.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement technical solutions that align with business requirements.
- High level of initiative, professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Deep understanding of technology infrastructure and business productivity systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and multitasking abilities.
- Sales training experience is advantageous.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certifications.
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Solutions Expert), or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- CCNA or CCIE Cisco certifications.
