IT Support Specialist (Help Desk Level II) - Summary
The IT Support Specialist (Help Desk Level II) acts as a technical resource for both pre- and post-sales support, collaborating closely with sales teams and clients. This role involves managing and deploying complex IT solutions, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. You will be responsible for implementing, optimizing, and supporting a range of technologies, from network infrastructure to cloud-based systems, while continually seeking to improve client outcomes and business productivity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide comprehensive technical support throughout the client lifecycle, including discovery meetings, site visits, proposals, presentations, technical assessments, implementation, and ongoing account management.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments to ensure secure and efficient user access and data management.
- Design and implement Local Area Networks (LANs), ensuring reliability and scalability for clients’ business operations.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect clients’ data and systems from threats.
- Optimize and maintain network software and hardware, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Build and deploy file servers and cloud computing solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Configure and deploy VOIP solutions to enhance communication infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server to support clients' email and communication needs.
- Support and deploy telephone solutions as needed.
- Monitor alert systems and respond according to established guidelines to maintain uptime and performance.
- Analyze event logs and system messages to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Handle escalated service requests requiring advanced technical response and expertise.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, ensuring seamless integration into client systems and networks.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
- At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing environment, such as sales engineering or similar roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients to understand and resolve their business and technology concerns.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven experience in writing proposals for and implementing technical solutions that address business needs.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Solid understanding of technology and business productivity systems, including remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools such as Kaseya or Connectwise.
- Experience with professional services automation (PSA) or ticketing systems like Autotask or Connectwise is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver extraordinary customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales training and experience working in a managed services provider (MSP) environment are significant assets.
