IT Support Specialist - Summary
- Provide technical support for SMB clients as part of a managed services provider team.
- Engage in both remote and occasional onsite troubleshooting for hardware, software, and networking challenges.
- Maintain and manage Windows servers, Active Directory, Office 365, endpoint devices, and firewalls (Fortinet experience a plus).
- Collaborate with corporate technical teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Ensure effective communication and strong client relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned SMB clients, troubleshooting and resolving system issues efficiently.
- Provide timely remote assistance and, when required, perform onsite support to address client needs.
- Administer and maintain Windows-based servers and desktops, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory and Office 365 platforms.
- Oversee the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, with a preference for Fortinet technology experience.
- Work closely with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex incidents that go beyond standard troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and client communications.
- Deliver excellent client service by ensuring all interactions are timely, professional, and solutions-oriented.
- Monitor and adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain high standards of client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience supporting Windows servers, desktops, and networking environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Office 365, and basic firewall management (Fortinet preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing network issues and performing hardware repairs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present professionally in client-facing situations.
- Ability to travel locally for onsite client support as needed.
- Previous experience in a managed services provider (MSP) environment is a plus.
