IT Support Specialist - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
- Troubleshoot and resolve networking problems, including port testing, VLAN verification, IP address resolution, and SSID checks
- Deliver responsive desktop support such as device resets, peripheral troubleshooting, and addressing software-related problems
- Monitor and maintain both wired and wireless network connectivity, diagnosing issues with ports, cables, and connections
- Assist with IT setup, configuration, and breakdown at events, ensuring all technology functions smoothly during critical times
- Maintain thorough documentation of issues, solutions, and support activities
- Collaborate closely with other IT team members to share knowledge and support ongoing technical initiatives
- Provide proactive maintenance and suggest improvements to enhance system reliability and user experience

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in basic networking support, including port testing, VLAN verification, and IP address resolution
- At least 2 years’ experience providing desktop support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve wired and wireless connectivity issues
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and during events, as required
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
