IT Support Engineer (MSP) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with sales teams to deliver both pre- and post-sales technical support, including discovery meetings, site visits, technical assessments, solution proposals, and presentations.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments for a variety of business clients.
- Design, implement, and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs), optimizing network hardware and software to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Implement and monitor network security measures, ensuring client data and systems are protected according to industry best practices.
- Build and manage file servers as well as cloud computing solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Deploy and configure VOIP solutions and manage telephone systems to support client communications needs.
- Perform advanced network infrastructure troubleshooting, resolving complex technical issues and minimizing downtime for clients.
- Oversee Microsoft Exchange Server environments, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance.
- Monitor alert systems and respond according to established guidelines, ensuring rapid identification and resolution of technical incidents.
- Analyze event logs and system messages to diagnose and repair technical problems efficiently.
- Handle escalated service requests requiring in-depth technical knowledge and enhanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Onboard new users, ensuring smooth access to systems, resources, and support.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
- Proven experience working within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required.
- At least 3 years in a client-facing role such as sales engineering, with demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to understand and address client business needs.
- Demonstrated experience writing technical proposals and implementing IT solutions that align with client objectives.
- Proficiency with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools such as Kaseya or ConnectWise preferred.
- Experience with PSA (Professional Services Automation) tools like Autotask or ConnectWise is advantageous.
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, reliable, and collaborative team player.
- Strong understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Sales training experience is a plus.
