IT Support Engineer (Level III) Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide both pre- and post-sales technical support, including discovery meetings, site visits, technical assessments, proposals, presentations, solution implementation, and ongoing technical account management.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments to ensure secure and reliable network operations.
- Design Local Area Networks (LANs) tailored to specific client requirements and needs.
- Implement and monitor network security protocols to protect client data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Optimize and maintain network software and hardware, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability for business-critical operations.
- Build and deploy file servers as well as develop cloud computing solutions to support client business objectives.
- Configure and deploy Voice over IP (VOIP) solutions for seamless communication.
- Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues, providing advanced diagnostics and resolution for escalated service requests.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server environments, ensuring effective email communication and collaboration.
- Support and configure telephone solutions as required by client operations.
- Monitor alert systems and respond promptly according to established guidelines to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Utilize event logs and various diagnostic messages to identify, troubleshoot, and repair technical problems.
- Handle new user on-boarding, including account setup and initial training.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange Server, and Active Directory.
- At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing environment, such as sales engineering, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable working directly with clients to understand their business and technical challenges.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Experience writing proposals for and implementing technical solutions to address business needs.
- Demonstrates a results-oriented, self-motivated, professional, and reliable work ethic; works effectively as part of a team.
- Advanced understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Experience with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong customer service orientation, and the capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales training experience is advantageous.
- Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is a significant plus.
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
- CompTIA Network+ (Net+) and/or CompTIA Security+
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional), or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCIE are highly valued
