IT Support Engineer III (MSP) Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer III (MSP) for a full-time opportunity in Fort Worth, TX. This position is ideal for an individual who has demonstrated technical expertise within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding IT solutions and customer service. Working with a leading IT solutions company, you will play a key role in supporting clients’ technology needs, implementing advanced IT systems, and ensuring stable, secure, and optimized network environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical pre- and post-sales support, which includes participating in discovery meetings, site assessments, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Conduct technical assessments to identify client needs and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments, ensuring reliability and security.
- Design, implement, and maintain Local Area Networks (LANs) to support business operations.
- Implement and monitor robust network security measures to protect client data and systems.
- Optimize and maintain network software and hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Build, deploy, and support file servers and cloud-based computing solutions as required by client business needs.
- Configure and deploy Voice over IP (VOIP) solutions and support telephone system requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network infrastructure issues, providing escalated technical support for challenging incidents.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Server environments, ensuring efficient email communication and security.
- Monitor alert systems, analyze event logs, and take prompt action to resolve technical issues according to established guidelines.
- Receive and respond to escalated service requests, ensuring high-quality support and timely resolution.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, including system setup and access provisioning.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange servers, and Active Directory.
- Proven experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is required.
- At least three years of experience in a client-facing or sales engineering role.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients to address their business and technology needs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting proposals and implementing technical solutions tailored to business requirements.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, reliable, and an effective team player.
- Comprehensive understanding of technology solutions and business productivity systems.
- Experience using RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools such as Kaseya or ConnectWise is a plus.
- Familiarity with PSA (Professional Services Automation) or ticketing systems such as Autotask or ConnectWise is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, extraordinary customer service abilities, and the capacity to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with sales training is an advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security+.
- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCIE are highly valued.
