We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Support Engineer III (MSP) for a full-time position. This role is designed for a technology professional with strong technical capabilities and a proven track record in managed services provider (MSP) environments. The IT Support Engineer III (MSP) will play a vital role in supporting a diverse client base, ensuring the highest levels of technical service and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide comprehensive pre- and post-sales technical support, including discovery meetings, site assessments, technical presentations, and proposals.
- Deploy and manage Windows Servers and Active Directory environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Design and implement Local Area Networks (LANs) tailored to client business needs.
- Monitor, implement, and enhance network security protocols to safeguard client infrastructure.
- Optimize and maintain both network software and hardware, ensuring reliability and scalability for client operations.
- Build, deploy, and support file server and cloud computing solutions to enable business continuity and scalability.
- Configure and deploy VOIP solutions to meet communication needs.
- Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues, ensuring quick resolution of technical incidents.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange Server environments for reliable email and communication services.
- Support telephony solutions, providing technical expertise for voice systems.
- Monitor alert systems and take appropriate action based on established guidelines, ensuring system uptime and security.
- Interpret event log messages to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Handle escalated service requests requiring advanced technical expertise and prompt response.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, ensuring proper setup and access to resources.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server, and Active Directory.
- Demonstrated experience working in an MSP (Managed Services Provider) environment is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role, such as sales engineering, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
- Proven experience writing technical proposals and implementing IT solutions to address business challenges.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, exhibiting professionalism and reliability.
- Comprehensive understanding of technology and business productivity systems.
- Familiarity with RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tools such as Kaseya or Connectwise is considered a plus.
- Experience with PSA (Professional Services Automation) or ticketing systems such as Autotask or Connectwise is advantageous.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, a commitment to outstanding customer service, and the ability to handle complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Sales training experience is considered a plus.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+ certification.
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator/Solutions Associate), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Solutions Expert), or MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
- CCNA or CCIE Cisco certifications are highly valued.
