We are seeking an experienced IT Help Desk Technician II (MSP) for a full-time role supporting a leading Managed Services Provider based in Santa Clara, CA. This position is ideal for technology professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a proven background in business desktop and server support, particularly within the MSP sector. As an IT Help Desk Technician II (MSP), you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth IT operations for a diverse range of clients, providing advanced technical support, and participating in continuous improvement of IT systems and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver prompt and effective end-user assistance, resolving technical issues related to Windows 10 workstations and associated hardware/software.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Windows desktop-related support queries, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and support for Windows Server 2016 and 2019 environments.
- Monitor alert systems, analyze event logs, and take appropriate action in accordance with company guidelines to prevent or resolve issues.
- Manage escalated service requests that require advanced troubleshooting and resolution skills.
- Facilitate new user onboarding, including hardware/software setup and account provisioning.
- Support network services and equipment installation, including LAN/WAN infrastructure setup and ongoing maintenance.
- Install, configure, and support network hardware in compliance with technical and security standards.
- Provide technical support for building access systems, including door card access, wander guard, lighting, and HVAC controls.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience working with a Managed Services Provider (MSP) is required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in IT help desk, desktop support, IT support analyst, or related IT service desk roles.
- Proficiency with Remote Management & Monitoring (RMM) software such as Connectwise, Kaseya, or Ninja.
- Experience using Professional Services Automation (PSA) or ticketing platforms, such as Autotask.
- Demonstrated knowledge of network and firewall administration, particularly with Sonicwall and Meraki devices.
- Solid understanding of troubleshooting techniques for networks, servers, and workstations.
- Strong customer service skills with a courteous, tactful, and professional approach to client interactions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to groups.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a dynamic IT environment.
