IT Deployment Technician - Summary
- Serve as a key resource in the deployment, upgrade, and support of Windows operating systems across organizational endpoints.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to facilitate efficient and secure OS deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to schedule, implement, and validate successful upgrades with minimal disruption to daily operations.
- Work in a healthcare-related environment, ensuring all deployments are conducted in compliance with relevant standards and protocols.
- Travel to various facilities within the Greater Philadelphia area as required for deployment projects and on-site support.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on upgrades of Windows 10 systems to Windows 11 across diverse departments, ensuring each device meets all functionality and security requirements post-upgrade.
- Execute and monitor deployment scripts using SCCM, verifying the successful completion of each upgrade and documenting the results for internal tracking.
- Conduct post-deployment validation on each device, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring the operating system and software function as intended before proceeding to the next upgrade.
- Coordinate closely with clinical and administrative staff to schedule system upgrades, minimizing disruption to business operations and patient care activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues encountered during or after deployment, escalating more complex problems as necessary and maintaining thorough documentation of all incidents and resolutions.
- Maintain detailed records of deployment status, tracking recurring issues and reporting them to senior IT management for continuous improvement.
- Travel between organizational sites in the Greater Philadelphia area to support on-site deployment needs and provide technical assistance as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in IT support, systems deployment, or a closely related technical field.
- Practical experience using SCCM or similar tools for software or operating system deployment.
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, with specific experience in Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Philadelphia area as needed for project requirements.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare or HIPAA-compliant environment is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a functional vehicle are required for travel between sites.
