IT Business Analyst - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders to evaluate and document existing business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Conduct interviews and lead working sessions to gather detailed business requirements, ensuring all stakeholder needs are captured and addressed.
- Support the creation of comprehensive requirements documentation, process models, and workflow diagrams using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders, asking probing questions to clarify unclear workflows and requirements.
- Coordinate and plan User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate new system functionality and ensure alignment with business expectations.
- Act as a subject matter expert on business processes, offering insights and recommendations for process optimization and technology adoption.
- Participate in ongoing process improvement efforts, leveraging feedback and metrics to drive measurable results.
- Maintain open and proactive communication with all team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with at least 2 years focused on IT projects.
- Demonstrated experience in state government or public sector environments is highly desirable.
- Expertise in gathering, documenting, and translating complex business requirements into actionable project deliverables.
- Strong analytical skills in mapping and evaluating current business processes for improvement opportunities.
- Proficiency with business modeling and process diagramming tools, such as Visio, Lucidchart, or Draw.io.
- Excellent facilitation skills, with the ability to guide stakeholder discussions and lead effective requirements workshops.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for producing clear documentation and presenting findings to stakeholders.
