Inventory Specialist - Summary
- Responsible for daily assessment and replenishment of supplies in medical and procedural units

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct daily assessments and restocking of medical supplies for nursing and procedural units
- Monitor inventory levels, identify backorders, and ensure supply availability
- Coordinate urgent shipments through consolidated service centers when necessary
- Check expiration dates and rotate stock to maintain product integrity during replenishment
- Retrieve, clean, issue, and manage minor medical equipment as needed
- Process requisitions, pick tickets, stock credits, and handle supply returns efficiently
- Assist with cycle counts and initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy
- Stage and retrieve outbound freight, facilitating transport between various facilities
- Coordinate transportation of goods and supplies between facilities
- Maintain accurate transportation logs for all outbound freight movements
- Handle the receipt, internal transport, and storage of pharmaceuticals
- Act as a liaison between clinical staff and supply chain operations, ensuring smooth coordination
- Maintain professional communication with hospital personnel and suppliers at all times

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Extensive experience in inventory management is necessary
- At least one year of healthcare distribution or consolidated services experience is preferred
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication
- Comfortable operating PCs, handheld devices, and inventory management systems
- Experience with Lawson, Mobile Supply Chain, Outlook, Teams, and shared drives is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all inventory processes
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and hospital staff in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable employment history and adherence to workplace standards
