Inventory Control Specialist - Summary
- Support manufacturing operations through effective material control, inventory management, and warehouse coordination.
- Ensure accurate flow and documentation of materials from receipt to production and shipment of finished goods.
- Manage RMA processes, collaborating with multiple departments to resolve returned product issues efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing efforts to improve inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and process efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and ERP system updates.
- Organize and manage warehouse storage locations for efficient material access and flow.
- Issue materials to production teams based on work orders and manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels and promptly report discrepancies, shortages, or overages.
- Coordinate material transfers, returns, and disposal activities in compliance with company procedures.
- Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
- Process incoming RMAs, including inspection, documentation, and tracking of returned products.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to address and resolve returned product issues.
- Monitor RMA status to ensure timely closure and maintain accurate records for reporting.
- Work with shipping and receiving personnel for accurate and timely receipt of goods.
- Assist with inspection and verification of shipments and maintain organized storage areas.
- Participate in physical inventory preparation, inventory reconciliation, and optimization of stock locations.
- Support work-in-progress (WIP) inventory assessments and material movement tracking.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inventory, receiving, and RMA processes.
- Follow all company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
- Assist department leadership with additional projects and operational needs as required.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in material control, inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) and using ERP or inventory management systems such as Sage 100 or similar platforms.
- Strong background in inventory control, material handling, and warehouse organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire if not already certified.
- Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds unassisted and work in varying warehouse and production floor conditions.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background check, drug screening, and onboarding requirements.
