Interventional Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring optimal imaging quality and patient comfort
- Operate fluoroscopic, digital, and other radiologic equipment during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
- Assist the interventional radiologist with sterile technique, equipment setup, and supply management
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient records, and equipment usage
- Monitor patients for signs of complications, promptly notifying the clinical team of any concerns
- Adhere to all safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff
- Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing education to maintain certifications and clinical skills

Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- State licensure as required
- Demonstrated experience in interventional radiology or a related field
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and sterile technique
