Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech, ARRT) - Summary
- Deliver advanced imaging support for interventional procedures and angiographic exams.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Scrub in and provide direct assistance to physicians during angiography and a range of interventional radiology procedures, including line placements, angiograms, kyphoplasty, and percutaneous nephrostomy exams.
- Operate GE Innova imaging systems, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare and accurately position patients for a variety of sterile procedures, maintaining a safe and controlled radiation environment in alignment with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
- Participate actively in the IR call rotation, responding to urgent and emergent clinical scenarios as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and troubleshoot any issues quickly to minimize procedural delays.
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, equipment checks, and patient care activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to clinical best practices and institutional protocols.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active RT(ARRT) certification is required to practice as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Demonstrated experience in high-volume Interventional Radiology or Angiography suites.

- Strong technical skills in sterile technique, catheter/wire management, and IR procedural steps.
- Ability to participate in the required IR call rotation, including after-hours support.
