Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) - Summary
- 13-week full-time assignment in a high-acuity Interventional Radiology setting

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Prepare patients for procedures, including education, assessment, and consent processes
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures, responding promptly to changes in condition
- Administer medications, contrast agents, and sedation as ordered, following established protocols
- Utilize Epic charting system to accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards in all procedural activities
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage, including weekends, to support unit needs
- Provide post-procedure care and patient/family education to facilitate recovery

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Updated resume and Interventional Radiology skills checklist required
- Two professional references attesting to clinical competence
- Recent Nursys Report (generated within the last 30 days) for license verification
