The Interventional Radiologist (IR) will perform a variety of image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities encompass a mix of routine and urgent cases, including but not limited to CT, MRI, ultrasound, and X-ray imaging. The IR will interpret diagnostic exams and execute procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drainage, chest tube placement, percutaneous drains, biopsies, arthrograms, and lumbar punctures. The expectation is to manage a diverse caseload with a minimum of 55 RVUs per shift. The IR will leverage advanced EMR systems such as Powerscribe 4.0 and the RPCE Tech Stack to ensure accurate reporting and streamlined workflow.
Board certification or eligibility within five years in Interventional Radiology is required, with an active Kentucky medical license. While experience with mammography is preferred, it is not a mandatory qualification. The credentialing process typically spans 60 to 90 days. This role is well-suited for professionals who value continuous learning and are committed to upholding the highest standards in patient care and safety. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, allowing for work-life balance while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional healthcare services.
