The Interventional Radiologist (IR) will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and technologists, to coordinate and execute procedures such as lung and solid organ biopsies, chest tube placements, fine needle aspirations (FNA), image-guided core biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures (LP), myelograms, and arthrograms. Providing comprehensive care, the Interventional Radiologist (IR) must be adept at managing a caseload of moderate to light interventional cases, with an expected volume of approximately 50 Relative Value Units (RVUs) per shift.
The position is structured around a traditional weekday schedule, with shifts typically running from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. This provides the opportunity for a consistent work-life balance while serving a diverse patient population in a fast-paced hospital setting. The Interventional Radiologist (IR) will utilize industry-standard electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Powerscribe 4.0 and the RPCE Tech Stack, to ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and communication within the multidisciplinary team.
To be considered for the Interventional Radiologist (IR) position, candidates must be board certified in Interventional Radiology and possess a valid, active medical license in the relevant state. The credentialing process is thorough, typically requiring 90 to 120 days to complete. This ensures all regulatory and hospital standards are met for patient safety and quality care.
