Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a full scope of interventional and diagnostic radiology procedures according to credentials and privileges granted.
- Act as both an interventional radiologist and diagnostic radiologist, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Educate, mentor, and assist other healthcare providers and radiology clinic staff within the scope of clinical privileges.
- Examine, diagnose, and prescribe appropriate treatment plans based on training and experience.
- Communicate results of abnormal studies and tests to referring physicians, utilizing advanced imaging modalities including CT, MRI, and Ultrasound.
- Oversee and interpret radiographic examinations, ensuring adherence to professional standards and ethics.
- Determine the need for specialty referrals and collaborate with other medical professionals as required.
- Perform fluoroscopic and special radiographic procedures, including but not limited to plain film radiography, US, MRI, IVPs, angiography, CT, and pediatric radiology.
- Conduct medium and high-risk invasive surgical procedures for vascular and interventional radiology cases.
- Manage patient admissions, inpatient follow-ups, chart reviews, progress notes, and discharges as needed.
- Order diagnostic tests and request consultations or referrals to other appropriate resources when indicated.
- Provide direction, training, and in-service education to medical staff, adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
- Respond to emergency consultations in interventional radiology within designated response times.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid U.S. medical license from any state or Washington, D.C.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution in the United States or Canada, or an equivalent school acceptable to the Surgeon General.
- Board certification in Radiology and Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Radiologists.
- Minimum of two years of post-fellowship experience in interventional radiology within the past three years.
- Successful completion of an internship and residency in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Interventional Radiology from accredited programs.
- At least one year of supervised clinical experience (such as a 1-year internship or the first year of residency in an accredited hospital).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
