Internal Medicine Physician (MD, DO, IM Physician) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered medical care as an Internal Medicine Physician (MD, DO, IM Physician), including obtaining medical history, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing referrals
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care
- Demonstrate excellent bedside manner and foster a welcoming, informative environment for patients and their families
- Clearly explain diagnostic findings, treatment options, and care plans to patients and their support systems
- Accurately document all aspects of patient care using EPIC or similar electronic medical records systems
- Diagnose, manage, and treat both chronic and acute medical conditions, as well as provide preventive care and patient education on healthy lifestyle behaviors
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with current AAFP clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices
- Participate in departmental meetings, ongoing professional education, and training as required
- Maintain knowledge of, and adherence to, relevant healthcare laws, including HIPAA and internal medicine-specific regulations

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Successful completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency program
- Eligibility to obtain a license to practice medicine in New Mexico
